Lean in Service-Oriented Organizations

The application of Lean principles and tools has grown in service-oriented organizations including medical, government, higher education, and nonprofits. The foundation of Lean, respect for people, is a natural fit in the service industries. This session provides information about Lean and the tools that nonprofit organizations can use to improve value delivery to stakeholders.
Objectives:
1. Define value from the stakeholder’s perspective.
2. Make the invisible, visible through process mapping.
3. Improve synchronized flow by reducing waste.
Recommended for participants bring any procedure manuals, process maps or information, and blank forms they routinely have to fill out.
LOCATION, PARKING AND ENTRY:
ChildServe located at 5406 Merle Hay Rd, Johnston, IA 50131
ChildServe is located just North of I-80 at 5406 Merle Hay Road, Johnston. Parking around the building is reserved for patients and their families. Please park in the lots south of the building or the lot closest to Merle Hay Road and enter through Welcome Center A. Check in with reception and you will be given directions to the room.
