Get Involved

There are many ways to engage with the Central Iowa Chapter!

Attend ATD Activities

  • Come alone to network and build new relationships or invite a colleague to attend with you to learn about the chapter
  • Network with your colleagues
  • Find events at www.atdiowa.org/events

Ask questions and share feedback

  • Participate in membership surveys, respond to evaluation forms at events
  • Network with your colleagues; discuss challenges and best practices, learn from one another
  • Search the Membership Directory to identify people with whom to network
  • Email membership@atdiowa.org with questions or for help
Plan an ATD Event
  •  Give us your idea for a chapter event! We want to offer events that are of interest to you, our members. One of the best ways to do that is to get the event topics or activities from you.
  • If you have an idea and are willing to help coordinate that event, fill out and submit our Chapter Event Proposal and email it to education@atdiowa.org.
  • Events can be informational or social – or both!
  • But be sure to plan ahead! If you have a specific date or time frame in mind, we need 5-8 weeks notice all the details can be worked out and we can begin promoting the event at least 4 weeks prior to when it will take place

Volunteer

  • Contact membership@atdiowa.org
  • Reach out to the VPs to learn about the priorities of their committees and how you might help
