The Ferdinand Factor

Presented by: Richard Rowe

About the Program:

In every relationship or group you must have a leader, because in the absence of a leader one will manifest (good or bad).  The human condition in leadership is the same as that of a wolf pack, horse herd, or lion pride.  Every group rather animal or human must have an alpha leader and beta followers to make it successful!  Most conflict occurs in offices, families and relationships due to an absence of the alpha leader.  This presentation talks about those experiences and how being the Ferdinand (like the story about Ferdinand the Bull, passive and collaborative) can be an asset, and by understanding your natural leadership style will lead to consistent success in workplace leadership, relationship building, customer interaction, relationship sales and yes even dealing with that 2 yr old or teen!  It will even work in pet ownership – the only question is: Who is the Alpha?  Embrace your inner Ferdinand!

About Richard Rowe

Richard Rowe served over 21 years in the U S Navy, living in Australia, Bahrain, and Japan while also visiting over 50 different countries. During this time he has sat down with people from all walks of life even meeting and talking with the Dahlia Lama.  He has experienced leadership and human behavior on all levels from the entry level military person to noted government leaders, and different religious leaders throughout the world; transfusing not only his knowledge but giving him insight into human behavior.

After leaving the military, Richard ventured into the corporate world and worked for a Fortune 500 Financial company promoting better customer service, sales, and leadership through facilitation.  An internationally recognized speaker and author, he has authored Is your life a puddle or an Ocean?  which is a look at how we create ripples in our lives based on our choices  and will release a new leadership book in 2013; Ferdinand Factor.  By combining his experiences in the military and his corporate experiences, Richard will create a presentation which is information-rich, highly motivational and entertaining;  he is a  polished storyteller making the seemingly complex easy to understand, and has numerous lectures and courses on leadership, sales, customer service, change, and teamwork.  He has presented over a 1000 speeches and seminars nationally and internationally.

Richard is certified as a Master Training Specialist for the military only held by the top ten percent of all facilitators and a member of  (American Society for Training & Development) ASTD, and the National Speakers Association (NSA).  He holds an Associate’s degree in Technical Instruction, a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, and a Master’s of Science in Management. Richard is an adjunct professor for three universities focusing on Leadership, Human Resources, and Organizational Behavior.

As a believer in the truth that we never really stop learning in our journey of life, Richard continues his education by pursuing his Ph D in Organizational Leadership. He truly lives the principle of Carpe Diem (seize the day) and that our experiences are the chapters in the “book” of our life’s – let him share these chapters with your organization, association or group.
