Improving Personal Productivity

Presenter - Dee Oviatt

This presentation illustrates a “workflow management” approach to help participants increase personal productivity and decrease stress. The approach, which goes beyond time management, is based on productivity principles that can be used with any planner system, calendar or software and is flexible enough for anyone to implement.
Participants will learn to:
  • Stop relying on memory and instead capture all “to do”  items using a simple, trusted, portable system
  • Process e-mail and paper inboxes to zero – and keep them emptied
  • Organize material to find quickly what is needed when it is needed
  • Plan and prioritize work to insure that the most important tasks are accomplished and are not overlooked or forgotten
  • Do the work that is planned while minimizing distractions and effectively managing interruptions
Please check in with the security guard at the main entrance, an ASTD greeter will be there to escort you to the room (W266/268).

Lunch - f
eel free to grab lunch in the Nationwide Cafeteria or bring your own lunch and network with others.

Parking is available in the Nationwide ramp located on Walnut Street directly south of the building.  Please bring your parking ticket to the meeting and the security guard will validate it.
