Topic: Let’s Talk Leadership

Description: Join us for an informal Friday morning discussions on leadership. Grab a cup of coffee (or two) and spend some time sharing ideas on a specific leadership topic with questions to get the conversation rolling or keep it going!  These discussions will be guided by questions, insights from your peers, and input from your SIG – Leadership leaders.  Join us to ask questions, share your successes, and learn from others.

This session will offer the following:

• Specific actions you can implement
• A chance to reflect on your leadership and/or how you develop and influence leaders in your organization – what’s working and what could be better
• Feedback from peers about their challenges and successes
• Discussions on current topics such as authenticity, coaching, developing others, program management, meeting effectiveness, engagement survey commitment plans, and what matters most to you.

• One of the questions we will ask during our first Let’s Talk Leadership format this month is: What do you do to show up authentically?

Building on the great conversations from the first 2016 series, join us for the follow-up series of the ATD Central Iowa Leadership Development Special Interest Group from 8:30 am -10:30 am. 10:00-10:30 will be time to connect with other participants and 8:30-10:00 we will have inspiring conversation. Our goal is to create the space for people to connect, explore and to transform. It will be up to all of us to make this group what we need it to be.
