Bio

Denise Forney is the Vice President of Talent and Organizational Development for Iowa Corn. She has thirty years of progressive leadership and training expertise in the central Iowa region. Denise has developed and facilitated courses for both domestic and international audiences and appreciates the diversity of customers she has served. Denise grew up on a corn and dairy farm in Bellevue, Iowa. She has many fond memories being part of a close-knit farm family, bottle feeding calves and milking cows alongside her parents and siblings. Denise detasseled corn for five years and was a crew leader in high school, which helped finance her education and her undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa. Denise holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Adult Education, Training and Development from Drake University. She is a certified Talent Development Coach and has presented at numerous conferences, including the Iowa Employment Conference, Iowa State Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Association of Talent Development (ATD). In addition to her presentation talents, Denise is an accomplished performer and enjoys playing guitar in the community and spending time with her family.
