Bio

Kylie has over a decade of experience in nonprofit advocacy and education, specifically in community organizing and teaching Spanish and ELL classes to children and adults. She earned a Master of Science degree in Leadership Development with an emphasis in Talent Development from Drake University and a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa. All of these experiences have contributed to her devoted interest in developing learning environments that are welcoming, engaging, and supportive. Outside of work she enjoys going on road trips, being a pet foster parent, reading memoirs and fiction novels, and improving her crochet skills. She lives in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines with her partner, Xiuh, and their dog and two cats.
