Melissa Heikes has been actively involved in ATD-Central Iowa since 2018 as a member of the Education Committee. In May 2022, Melissa took over as the VP of the Education Committee. She loves giving members education events that keep them engaged in current trends as well as providing some self-development and professional growth. Melissa has worked in human resources and talent development for over 15 years. Melissa has an amazing career with UnityPoint Health which started in August of 2016 creating, deploying, and managing their leader and team member development programs. Now she creates and facilitates team member and leader trainings than span three states and 33,00 employees. Melissa is a Certified Crucial Learning trainer for Crucial Conversations for Managing Dialogue and is internally certified to coach and train CliftonStrengths®.
Melissa lives, and works remote, in Adel, Iowa, with her husband of nearly 14 years, Chris, and two amazing kiddos Calvin (12) and Alivia (10). She enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling when she is not working or driving kids to activities.
