Featured Member: Denise Forney, UnityPoint Health Des Moines
Denise Forney is an Organizational Development and HR Business Partner for UnityPoint Health Des Moines hospitals. Denise has over twenty-five years of progressive management and training expertise, and has served in several training, leadership and creative capacities, including being an executive administrative manager, a childcare director, a guitar instructor, musical performer, and a master facilitator. She is often referred to as an "edu-tainer."
Denise holds a Bachelor Degree in Public Relations from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Science Degree in Adult Education, Training and Development from Drake University.

In addition to her training talents in the classroom, Denise is an accomplished guitarist, and singer/songwriter. She lives in West Des Moines with her husband, John and three teenage children: Rachel, Kaitlyn and Jacob. She has released several musical CDs with her family and enjoys performing regularly in our community.
What is Members Making a Mark?
ATD Central Iowa is excited to have Members Making a Mark, a recognition exclusively open for our membership.
The recognition is designed to highlight talent development professionals from the Central Iowa chapter of ATD for their professional accomplishments and community engagement. A new Member Making a Mark will be announced monthly. You can submit a Member on the Mark-worthy accomplishment at any time through-out the year. This could be your own accomplishment or one of another member.
What is a Member Making a Mark-worthy accomplishment?
Anything you are proud of...from a killer new training program implemented at your work, to graduating with your Masters, acquiring a new designation, receiving a promotion, or any other awesome achievement.
