Members Making a Mark
Featured Member: Alyssa Bailey, Principal Financial Group
Nominated by: Sara Giesler
Alyssa Bailey joined Principal Financial Group in November 2018, as an Instructional Designer on the Defined Benefit (DB) Training Team. Alyssa's first task was to help design a Foundational Curriculum that would be utilized by all new learners to DB. She spent many hours working with fellow DB Training Team members and Subject Matter Experts to determine the outline of content, prior to designing. Alyssa has now created a true learner experience for our new employees that includes an interactive workbook, CBTs, job aids, videos, and many more. Check out the teaser video below!
Featured Member: Mary Roth, Nationwide Insurance
Mary was selected earlier this year to be an artist to design a piano for the 2019 City Sounds season. City Sounds places pianos in public spaces around Des Moines to encourage the community to make music, and make artistic creation accessible to all. She's an advocate for community building through the arts and her vision was to create a paint-by-number piano to be painted by the community. On June 7th, that vision came to light. Hundreds of people came out to make this piano bloom! People said the experience was 'cathartic, fun, bonding, peaceful, lovely...' The piano will be on display at Mainframe Studios through the summer! Check it out!
