Are you ready to put your creativity to a serious test? This session is inspired by the Food Network’s “Chopped” series, in which a group of talented Chefs must beat the clock and use basket ingredients to compose a restaurant-quality meal.  In our version – honed by graduate students at Drake University’s Master of Science in Leadership Development - small groups of talented Instructional Designers will use a variety of materials (i.e., dice, various toys or blocks, paper, rubber bands, etc.) to quickly create learning activities in three categories: Appetizers (preparation activities), Entrées (presentation activities), and Desserts (Application/Practice activities).

Presenter Bios:

Dr. Cris Wildermuth is an Assistant Professor of Education at Drake University, where she coordinates the Master of Science in Leadership Development, a competency-based and practical degree with emphases in Leadership and Talent Development.  Dr. Wildermuth frequently presents on topics such as ethics, change leadership, innovation, and personality diversity.  Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dr. Wildermuth has travelled extensively, consulting and training in countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Germany, and Finland.  Her current research interests include the limits of impartiality and the impact of “meaningful” leadership behaviors on employee engagement.
